Question
Come mai, se uso un font che ho nel programma The
Font Thing, per creare una pagina e la pubblico su internet non
vedo quel font ma un altro ?
• Questo significa che quelli che non hanno quel
font nel loro pc lo vedranno sballato o comunque diverso ?
• Come faccio a far rimanere quel determinato font
su tutte le pagine del sito ?
• Come posso fare se il cliente mi chiede proprio
quel tipo di carattere ?
Why,
if I use a font that I have in the program The Font Thing, to create
a page and I publish it in internet I don't see that font but
another one ?
• Does this mean that who hasn't that font installed in their pc
will not be able to see it correctly or will see it different ?
• How can I keep that special font on all the website pages ?

Ti sconsiglio di 'usare un carattere
che non sia compreso tra quelli predefiniti di windows. Anzi di
solito si usa, Time New Roman, Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, si
può anche variare con Lucida Console, Comic Sana MS, Forte e
Georgia ma questi ultimi già sono a rischio per chi non usa
Explorer
Sappi che quando una pagina viene
creata con un carattere che il visitatore non ha in dotazione per
il 99% dei casi questi lo vedrà scritto in Time New Roman se
quando crea la pagina non aggiungi la specifica di altri caratteri
sostitutivi.
Per quanto riguarda il caricare nel
server dov'è il sito il carattere con il quale è stata fatta la
pagina per offrire al visitatore la possibilità di vedere la
pagina stessa in originale, è sconsigliabile perché dovresti anche
spiegare come e dove inserire il carattere stesso nel PC del
visitatore... non tutti quelli che usano il computer sanno come
gestirlo... inoltre, rischi che per la paura di scaricare "virus"
chiudano direttamente il sito anziché visitarlo.
Non ti resta che spiegare questo al cliente.
Aggiungo solo che se il sito è
piccolo e ciò che devi scriverci è statico (non verrà mai
cambiato) puoi creare delle immagini (da salvare preferibilmente
come PNG non trasparenti con lo stesso colore di sfondo della
pagina naturalmente) con le scritte che ti servono le salvi e al
posto del testo scritto nelle pagine ci metti le immagini
preparate. Questo a lavoro finito darà l'idea che il testo sia
normalmente scritto e quanto lo pubblici rimane tale e quale.

suggest you to don't use characters (fonts) not of windows default.
The fonts usually used are Times New Roman, Arial, Verdana, Tahoma,
you can also use Lucida Console, Comic Sans MS, Forte and Georgia
but these can not be available for who doesn't use Explorer.
Remeber that when a page is created with a font that the visitor
hasn't in his pc at 99% he will see the font Times New Roman if you
create the page and you don't add the specific of other fonts
available.
Regarding the upload in internet made with the font required, so to
permit to see it correctly and in original, you should also include
the fint and explain how to upload the same in the visitor pc .. not
all the people using internet are able to do this .. and, not as
last, they could be scared to get some kind of "virus" closing
immediately the website page without visiting it.
This is what you could explain to your costumer.
Another idea is that, if the website is small, you could make static
text (that will never been changed) and create some images (to save
in not transparent PNG with, ofcourse, the background of the same
colour of the page background), with what you want to write, and
save the text on the page.
This will give the idea that the text is written normally and when
you will upload the page you will see it exactly as you created it.
